About the Child Education calculator

Education costs in India have risen faster than general prices. This calculator projects today's course fee forward using an education inflation rate, then works out the monthly SIP needed to reach it, after allowing for what you have already saved.

How to use it

  1. Move the sliders, or type a value into each box.
  2. Watch the results and chart update as you go.
  3. Try different assumptions to see what changes the outcome most, then talk to us about a plan.

The formula

Future cost = today's cost × (1 + education inflation)years

  • The monthly SIP needed is worked out from the shortfall, the expected return and the months remaining

Example

A course costing ₹15,00,000 today may cost about ₹47,58,254 in 15 years at 8% education inflation.

Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks, read all scheme related documents carefully. Past performance is not indicative of future returns.
