Tax Planning

Save tax the smart way, with investments and insurance that also serve your goals.

What is it?

What is tax planning?

Tax planning means using the deductions and exemptions the law allows, such as those under Sections 80C and 80D, and choosing the right tax regime, so you pay the tax you owe and no more.

Good tax planning chooses investments and insurance that you would want anyway, and treats the tax saving as a bonus.

Deductions under Sections 80C and 80D are available only under the old tax regime. Tax rules change from year to year; this page is general information, not tax advice.

Why do I need it?

The risk tax planning addresses

Without a plan, many people either miss deductions they are entitled to, or rush into products in March that do not suit their goals. Both cost money, every year.

Without it, you could face

  • Paying more tax than necessary
  • Last-minute investments that do not fit your goals
  • Choosing the wrong regime for your income
  • Missing proofs when your employer or the tax department asks

What tax planning gives you

  • Section 80C, up to ₹1.5 lakh

Life insurance premiums, ELSS, PPF, and other eligible investments.

  • Section 80D

Health insurance premiums for your family and your parents.

  • Old or new regime?

We compare both for your income and deductions so you can choose.

  • ELSS funds

Equity funds with the shortest lock-in among 80C options: three years.

  • Plan early

Spread investments through the year instead of a March rush.

  • Proofs made easy

Premium receipts and statements ready for your employer or tax filing.
