What is term insurance?
Term insurance is pure life cover for a fixed period, say 20 or 30 years. If you die during that period, the insurer pays your family the sum assured. If you survive, the policy ends and nothing is paid back.
Because it carries no savings element, it gives the highest cover for the lowest premium.
The risk term insurance addresses
Most families are under-insured: their life cover is far smaller than the income, loans and goals it needs to replace. A term plan closes that gap affordably, so your family is not left with debts and no income.
Without it, you could face
- Your family losing your income overnight
- Loans passing to your family
- Children's education plans stopping
- Savings used up to meet daily expenses
What term insurance gives you
-
Large cover, low premium
A term plan pays only on death, so the premium for a high sum assured is far lower than for savings-linked plans.
-
Loans covered
Size the cover so your family can clear a home or car loan and keep the house.
-
Fixed premium
The premium is usually fixed when you buy, so starting younger costs less for the whole term.
-
Optional riders
Add accidental death, critical illness or waiver-of-premium cover for a small extra cost.
-
Tax benefit
Premiums may qualify under Section 80C (old tax regime), subject to the rules.
-
Claim support
We help your family with the documents and follow up with the insurer until the claim is settled.

A pure term plan pays nothing on survival, which is why it is so affordable. Return-of-premium variants exist but cost much more; we will show you both.
Insurers can reject a claim if important facts such as smoking or existing illnesses were not disclosed. Honest, complete disclosure protects your family.
